Long gone are the days of women sticking only to the cardio room in the gym.
I remember the first time I stepped foot into the gym 12 or so years ago.. there were certainly no ladies in the weights area!
The benefits of strength training for women (and men) are huge. It is the number one method for sculpting that feminine physique.
Ain’t no one sculpted a big juicy booty from running! (true story just look at a runners behind compared to those who squat or deadlift – the proof is in the pudding)
There are so many benefits to strength training but I am going to give you what I believe the top 3 are.
1. Sculpt and tone your best body. Lifting weights BUILDS MUSCLE. But won’t I look manly if I have muscle? Girl you do not produce enough testosterone to look manly. Muscles are what give our body shape. Widening your upper back and building a booty give the illusion that your waist is SMALLER and this is how you can create an hourglass figure.
2. Mental benefits of lifting are huge. Lifting provides STRESS RELIEF. Lifting also gives you a sense of ACHIEVEMENT as you constantly break through barriers you didn’t think where possible. Lifting teaches you that failure is not a bad thing but an experience in which to learn from and improve upon.
3. Strengthen your body to move you AWAY from pain. Strengthening your body can fix a tonne of aches and pains. Knee pain? Back pain? Strengthening your body (and doing it in the right way with professional guidance if you do have these issues) will reduce your pain. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE IN PAIN. It is not normal. Moving your body and strengthening your body can help.
